Ted Nugent and his band are working on a new album, and fans can get a sneak peak at the recording process via a YouTube video featuring Nugent, drummer Tommy Clufetos, and bassist Barry Sparks jamming on a couple of different songs, in what looks like Nugent's living room in Waco, Texas.

Nugent told us that he loves working this way: "All my songs come from a jam session, where you plug in -- you have no agenda, you have no ideas, you just plug in - and all of a sudden, your fingers create these rhythms, and the drummer goes, 'Yes!' And all of a sudden, you got a bunch of grossly uninhibited, over-the-top, irreverent, escapee licks coming out that keep the music fresh."
To check out the clip, go to youtube.com and search for rabenwolf. In it, Nugent's fellow Detroit native Clufetos said, "I've never met anybody more in control of their own style... Nugent plays Nugent music. It's in a class by itself... I think these songs are -- the riffs are better, the grooves are better, and I just think he gets better each time out."

Sparks added, "This is the way it should be done... One lesson I've learned, definitely, is to go with your first instinct on things. I mean, we're jamming here, (and) a lot of the greatest stuff was the first time we played it.'"
Nugent's summer tour gets underway June 1st in Fort Worth, Texas.
According to livedaily.com, the new album is called Love Grenade, and is due out July 2nd.
